For a bigger challenge, there's online Striker's Club play, where you and up to 20 other players form a club and compete against the rest of the world for bragging rights. Up to eight players can join together in local or online matches in quick-play games or in Cup tournaments. Mario and his friends (and even some of his enemies) have traded in their platforming adventures for a sporting competition to see who can put together the best five-on-five squad around. Strap on your cleats and take to the pitch, because it's time to score some goals in MARIO STRIKERS: BATTLE LEAGUE. Players will often be set up against other gamers who aren't on their same level skill-wise, which can result in massively unbalanced games. There's a challenge to the gameplay, particularly around the timing of your passes and shots to get combos perfectly set up. Otherwise, there's nothing inappropriate to be found in the game. Hyper Strikes (which are powered-up shots at the goal) can also freeze players, set players on fire, or throw players around, although no blood or gore is shown as a result.
